Sony's TV Serial CID officer Daya’s love life

Despite watching CID for decades all we know about Daya is that he is a serious police officer but now his personal life will come to fore in the serial.

Sunaina Ghulia aka Dr Anjali from Dill Mill Gaye will enter the serial as Daya’s girlfriend Purbhi. In the upcoming episode, her brothers will be killed under mysterious circumstances and she will seek CID’s help.

There will be a twist in the tale when Daya gets to know that a CID officer in his team is actually involved in the killing of Purbhi's brothers.

The creative team has no plans of extending the role of Purbhi beyond an episode, but has kept the character open, in case they wish to bring the love life of Daya back to the show.
