Finally, the two of the best in the business will work together. Vidhu Vinod Chopra has been trying to do a film with Shahrukh from a very long time, and now, he has roped in king khan to star in his next film, ‘Ferrari Ki Sawaari.’
Vidhu wanted SRK for the films ‘Kareeb,’ ‘1942-A Love Story,’ ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ and even ‘3 Idiots,’ but every time, something went wrong.
Shah Rukh had finally given a nod to ‘3 Idiots’, ut withdrew from it after Vidhu criticised his film ‘Paheli.’ There were differences between the two when Vidhu disclosed that Shah Rukh was trying to lure Rajkumar Hirani to direct films for his own production house, Red Chillies.
“There is no animosity between them now. In fact, they are very friendly with each other,” said a source.
Aamir Khan had been offered the film but he rejected it because he wanted to concentrate more on the post-production of his three home productions – ‘Dhobi Ghaat,’ ‘Peepli Live’ and ‘Delhi Belly.’
’Ferrari Ki Sawaari’ is about how an Indian cricket legend’s Ferrari makes a young boy’s dream of playing cricket at Lords comes true. The film is also loosely based on a story by Rajesh Mapuskar, who has been a longtime associate of Vidhu’s favourite director Rajkumar Hirani.
