Ajay, Emraan & Omi Vaidya in Bhandarkar's next Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji

It is not new that Ajay Devgan and Emraan Hashmi will share the screen space. The two distinct actors are doing a film together called ‘Once Upon In Mumbai’.

Now both of them will act together for the ace filmmaker and the King of Realistic films Madhur Bhandarkar.

The news was out that the director is keen to bring out a romantic comedy before he comes up his next serious film. Titled Dil to Bachcha Hai Ji, the film will be produced by Bhandarkar along with Kumar Mangat.

For this one we will see Ajay and Emraan in lighter vein along with ‘3 Idiots’ famed Omi Vaidya, who played the notable character Chatur Ramalingam. As for the leading ladies it looks like we have to wait for some time, as Mangat said that they will be finalised shortly.

Mangat shared to sources that in fact he and Madhur had decided to make a film together two years ago but only recently they found the right script which would do justice to a romantic comedy.

While Bhandarkar stated that ‘Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji’ will go on floors by the end of June and will be ready in September.

Freida Pinto shoots for her first sex scene

Freida Pinto, who barely showed any skin in Slumdog Millionaire, has shot her first sex scene for director Tarsem Singh’s movie ‘Immortals’.

Since Freida was nervous doing the intimate scene, lights were switched off on the sets and only the important crew members were allowed in.

Speaking about the scene, Tarsem said: “Poor girl. It's the first time we have Freida Pinto and guess what, it's a sex scene. It's a delicate situation. We're trying to get all of the lights out, so we can create an intimate situation. Only 80 people watching you and 20 of them with video (cameras).”

‘Immortals’ is a Greek story about a young warrior spearheading a battle against the immortal gods to save the mankind.

Freida plays an oracle princess named Phaedra.

Aishwarya and Abhishek's upcoming movie Ladies And Gentleman

Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan is going to rock again. After the much awaited film of Mani Ratnam’s Raavan, the couple has been signed by director Rajkumar Santoshi for his next venture titled, ‘Ladies And Gentleman’. When Santoshi read out the script, both liked it so much that they instantly gave their nod. Even since the director worked with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in ‘Khakee’, he is keen to work with her again.

The film will roll as soon as he wrap up with his project that stars Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn.

Earlier too news broke out that they had been signed for couple of films together but nothing shaped up. Hope, this time everything goes well.

Hrithik Roshan on a story hunt for Krrish 2

Kites is all set for release and the Roshan’s are all up and excited for its release. Kites is being promoted done on a large scale; and people are eagerly waiting for its release. As already known, Krrish 2 is on its scripting stage and it is also speculated that this time the ‘Krrish’ series will be handed over to Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. Hrithik is eager to know what story would interest his fans and has found out an idea to get them involved too. Hrithik is asking his fans online to pour in their ideas on the story for Krrish 2 and the best suggestions are being considered and put on record.

A few sources have also reported that this Roshan is also working on a romantic comedy with a twist of powerful action which he is thinking of directing in future. The news is very secretive and thoroughly under wraps and will only be revealed at an appropriate time at Roshan’s discretion.

Katrina Kaif and Ajay Devgan together again in Aarakshan

Katrina Kaif signed for Prakash Jha’s upcoming flick “Aarakshan”: These days Katrina Kaif is getting a lot of Bollywood attention.

Even before the release of Rajneeti, she has been signed for Prakash Jha’s upcoming film “Aarakshan”.

The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgan. The movie addresses issues related to job reservation in India and is set against an academic dropout.

In the movie, Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of a teacher, who is inspired by his late father Harivansh Rai Bachchan.

Kaif plays the role of Bachchan’s daughter and Ajay Devgan is Big B’s favorite student.

Boney Kapoor's son Arjun to debut in ‘Mr. India 2'

It looks like ‘Mr. India 2’ is becoming a highly anticipated project as it will see Salman Khan as a villain along the lines of Mogambo in the film, which will be a high tech flick to be filmed in 3D too, has one more surprise in the bag.

Arjun Kapoor, the son of Boney Kapoor, will make his bollywood debut with 'Mr India 2', playing the role of the son of Anil Kapoor and Sridevi in the film. A new female lead will be cast opposite him.

Headed by Anees Bazmee, Shekhar Kapur will also be on board as the creative director.

Arjun Kapoor wanted to be a director always, but father Boney suggested that he opt for a career in acting.

Ruslaan Mumtaz will do what Salman Khan couldn't

New director Abhishek Dogra, who has finalized Ruslaan Mumtaz to play the role that was initially offered to Salman Khan, is all set to shoot his film entitled 3 Days 4 Nights In Bihar on location in Bihar.

The story of three spoilt rich wayward dudes blundering through Bihar in a nightmarish vacation is described by Salman's replacement Ruslaan as “a Dil Chahta Hai meets Rang De Basanti in Bihar... yes, we're going to shoot the film completely on location in Bihar."

Regarding Ruslaan replacing Salman, the younger actor says, "After Salmanbhai suggested that he take a younger actor for his role, the young director Abhishek Dogra changed the script."

Earlier he had planned to sign Salman and two other actors from that generation. Now it's 3 young actors Sharman, Jackky and Ruslaan.

"I've always modelled my physique on Salman, so it feels good," says Ruslaan.

Katrina Kaif to show her dirty side now

Bollywood actres Katrina Kaif will no longer be the tender beauty if her role in her upcoming film with Zoya Akhtar is anything to go by.

According to reports, Katrina will be seen performing some heavy duty stunts in the film that will also involve some dirt biking. For this, the actress is already taking lessons.

The film, which stars Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol and Farhan Akhtar, will be Zoya Akhtar's first big budget film.

Though, Katrina is excited about her new act, but at the same time she agrees that it is not going to be easy performing the stunts with the bike.

4 Idiots in the making, will be release next year

Not exactly a sequel to Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘3 Idiots’ but just an inspiration of the movie. ‘ The 4th Idiot’ is a movie of course but not a feature film but an animated film that will entertain the kids and the adults alike.

Produced by Biswaroop Roy Chowdhary, ‘The 4th Idiot’ is an inspiration of the ‘3 Idiots’ but is completely a new story with new star cast, but the only thing that will be part of the new movie from the old one is, the voice accent of ‘Chatur Ramalingam’, the nerd who tries to speak ‘shudh’ Hindi.

Further divulging in to details, the makers of the film say that the main character of the movie is an intelligent boy named ‘Pappu’ who studies in a school that is similar to Amir Khan’s school in ‘3 Idiots’, where students are highly innovative. The voice over for ‘Pappu’ is by Omi Vaidya who acted as ‘Chatur Ramalingam’.

Interestingly the producers have decided to premiere the movie at World Unity Convention Centre, Lucknow. They added saying what is not known to most of them is that the World’s largest school ‘The City Montessori School’ is in Lucknow. Now that’s even better news!

Ranbir as Kishore Katrina as Madhubala in Anurag Basu’s next

Anurag Basu is planning a biopic on the late actor, director and singer Kishore Kumar and for this venture he has signed Ranbir Kapoor to play the character of Kishore Kumar. His lady love in the movie will be none other than Katrina Kaif. Katrina will be playing the role of Madubala in the movie.

It seems that Katrina has already started watching Classics movies of Madubala like Chalti Ka Naam Gadi, Mugal e Azam , Mahal etc to bring in the perfection in her character. The makers are planning to recreate the magic of the song ‘ Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhaagi Si’ which was picturised on Kishore Kumar and Madhubala in the film Chalti Ka Naam Gadi.

Earlier Anurag Basu had signed Katrina for his movie Silence, which Katrina refused when she came to know that Priyanka Chopra is playing a pivotal role in the movie. In spite of this incident there is no grudge between the director and the actress and both are looking forward to make a great movie ahead.

Shahrukh Khan explains meaning of the title Ra.One

This year is likely to see the release of two big films with similar sounding titles. Yes...we are indeed referring to Mani Ratnam's Raavan and Shah Rukh Khan's home production Ra.One. However, the two similar sounding films are as different as chalk and cheese when it comes to their plotlines. While Mani's Abhi-Ash starrer is a modern-day adaptation of the mythological epic Ramayan, SRK's flick is a highly stylized film with a lot of gizmos and gadgets.

Coming to Ra.One, while it is known that SRK plays a super-hero kind of character in the film, what is not known is the fact that the title Ra.One is the acronym for 'Random Access-Version One'. This fact has been confirmed by the Superstar himself on Twitter. Says SRK, "Ra.One means Random Access- Version One, u will understand when u see the film. The Superhero is called G.One. Ra.One site will be up soon."

Meanwhile with his close friend and CEO of Red Chillies Entertainment- Bobby Chawla still admitted in the hospital, SRK has to even manage all the work related to production of Ra.One. SRK tweets, "Yes...wish Bobby my friend gets well sooner than soon. He is still in the hospital & the film is soo difficult in terms of production."

Looks like Ra.One is indeed taking a toll on SRK as he not only has to perform some heavy duty action sequences but also has to manage all aspects related to production.

First Look of Hrithik Roshan's upcoming movie Paani

Director Shekhar Kapur's film Paani, which has Bollywood hunk Hrithik Roshan in the main lead. The first look of the film is out and says, “When the wells run dry. We will know the worth of Paani.”

Shekhar is toying with this idea for quite long. In the August of 2005 for the first time he mentioned about Paani in his blog, “Today another dream was rekindled. Paani. A film that has lived in my consciousness for almost 5 years, when I watched 50 women and children standing in the hot sun in Mumbai. Each carrying a bucket waiting for a tap to start dripping with water.”

As reported online, “The movie is based in the thirty-five years into the future in a city with a population of 20 million people. A war has begun in the quest for water known as the Water Wars between those that have water and those that do not. At a time when water has become a weapon of social and economic control.”

Kareena to play a Pakistani spy

Kareena Kapoor starts shooting for Agent Vinod in two weeks. She plays a negative character in it, while beau Saif Ali Khan plays the title role.

An insider reveals, "The first schedule will be in Mumbai. Kareena plays a Pakistani CIA agent in the film, and sports five different looks - a first for her. She will be wearing different looks with prosthetics (think Hrithik's guises in Dhoom 2)."

Kareena is naturally very excited about her role. She believes AV will be a cool and intelligent film. She calls it a very 'Saif style' film. Currently, Bebo is shooting for a shampoo ad in Malaysia. She returns later this week and then heads to Goa for Golmaal 3, then joins Saif on set on May 25. In the meantime, she is in talks with designer Aki Narula for her various looks.

Kareena's character works for a bunch of corporate honchos who want to rake in the profits from a war-like scenario in the Asian subcontinent. But she is actually a spy for the Pakistani government. 'What is interesting is that she and Saif are not romantically paired in the film.'

Kareena says, "I am very excited to be a part of Shriram's film. It's a great script. I am happy that Agent Vinod is starting soon. I am working on my various looks for the film. It's something I haven't attempted before."

Agent Vinod: The plot unfolds
Agent Vinod's character has been moulded on 007, on Jack Bauer (the government agent in the American TV series 24) and on Jason Bourne, the CIA assassin in Robert Ludlum's novels and its film adaptations. Agent Vinod will be filmed at exotic locations all over the globe.

The plot unfolds with a caretaker being murdered and a grave being dug open in Uzbekistan. In Hamburg, a scientist is kidnapped, while in London, a painter is murdered. Elsewhere, an Indian agent is caught spying. He manages to flee and send a warning that someone is planning a conspiracy against India. This is when Agent Vinod steps in to save the country from disaster.

Shahrukh Khan will play a lawyer role in upcoming mvoie Jolly LLB

For the first time, Shah Rukh Khan will play a lawyer in writer/director Subhash Kapoor’s film, Jolly LLB.

This film will be produced by SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Rakesh Upadhyay, who is a close aide of SRK’s closest competitor, Akshay Kumar.

The film, which is based on a lawyer’s life, will be an expose on the judiciary system.

Talking about SRK’s association with Rakesh, media source said, “Rakesh and SRK have been discussing various subjects for the past few months. SRK particularly liked this theme. If all goes well, the film will be on the floors by next year.”

Excited by the prospect of working with SRK, Subhash Kapoor said, “The film will take on the pros and cons of the judicial system. When we first had an appointment with SRK, he had given us about 45 minutes for the narration. However, we ended up discussing the film for over two hours! He took to the film in the first 20 minutes itself. He loved the film immensely. The film’s producer Rakesh Upadhyay is finalising the other details.”

When asked if SRK will co-produce the film, Rakesh Upadhyay said, “We have been talking about working together for a long time and this is the subject that we have zeroed in on. It is too early to say anything; we will make a formal announcement when everything is in place.”

Aishwarya Rai spakes about her role in 'Raavan'

"I understand a bit of Tamil and speak a bit of it. For me, it is very important that I understand the meaning of my dialogues before I deliver them. I can't just mug up the dialogues. So for Raavan, I made sure I knew what I was saying and yes, I have improved a lot on the language and I am confident about doing more Tamil stuff in future.

Anushka Sharma in a Yash Raj's Hollywood remake Shaadi Mubarak

The buzz is that Yash Raj Films’ untitled next starring Anushka Sharma and newcomer Ranvir Singh is a rip off of the Hollywood film ‘The Wedding Planner’.

The film was referred by the name ‘Shaadi Mubarak’, although Yash Raj Films maintains that the film is still untitled. The film was earlier in news for Anushka and Ranvir’s growing proximity on sets. The two were set to be more than friends.

Hollywood film ‘The Wedding Planner’ stars Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey and is about how the female lead is a successful wedding planner and is busy planning other’s weddings till she falls in love.

As expected, YRF’s spokesperson has denied the rumours of the film being a Hollywood remake, let’s wait and watch to see if the film actually draws inspiration from the successful Hollywood flick.

First Look of Shahrukh Khan's upcoming movie Ra.One

Directed by Anubhav Sinha, sci-fi flick 'Ra.One' has for the first time Shah Rukh Khan in the super-hero avatar. Arjun Rampal plays his nemesis and Kareena Kapoor plays the female lead.

Kishore Kumar's son Amit Kumar will sing in Ranbir's next film

Anurag Basu’s biopic on Kishore Kumar (starring Ranbir Kapoor) will have the legendary singer’s son, Amit Kumar, doing the playback.

Says Anurag, “I recently saw Amit on a Bengali music reality show. I was zapped. The older he gets, the more he resembles his father in expression, body language and zest for life. I will definitely get Amit to sing for Ranbir in the film.”

Incidentally, Kishore Kumar’s younger son Sumeet sang a version of Kishore’s Bachna ae haseenon for Ranbir. Now it’s Kishore’s elder son Amit’s turn to sing for the actor.

Anurag is also in touch with other members of Kishore Kumar’s family. “I was delighted when Leenaji (Chandavarkar) said she was familiar with my work and had full faith that I would do justice to Kishoreda’s biopic.”

The film will cover every aspect of the singer’s life - including the Madhubala chapter. “I will be putting Kishoreda’s life on screen in totality. As a singer, actor, writer, composer, husband, father... everything. It’s a challenge. Let’s see if I’m up to it,” says Anurag.

Shooting for the film starts as soon as Anurag completes Silence.

Sonam Kapoor and Imran Khan's romance gets dirty

It seems that the onscreen romance between the lead pair of the under production movie I Hate Luv Stories, i.e Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor, went for a real toss!

It so happened that the duo was filming a romantic song in New Zealand’s countryside and were supposed to run to each other, and fall into a long embrace. Sonam was then asked to lean on Imran’s arms, reminding the audience of the signature Raj Kapoor-Nargis Dutt pose from the RK movies.

Director Punit Malhotra wasn’t impressed with the first few takes, so he asked Imran and Sonam to lend more grace to the move, which tired out Imran.

However, it ended up being a total disaster as Sonam rushed into his arms and Imran leaned back with a little gush of enthusiasm, thus losing his grip. Both the actors lost their balance and came down with a thud.

To make matters worse, Sonam fell on some cow dung left back by a cattle grazing nearby. Poor Sonam had to immediately rush for a shower. The only saving grace was that the actress’ costume, which got spoilt in the bargain, was not needed in any other shots.

Tabu back in a movie on women's sexuality!

Bollywood actress Tabu once said that the very idea of women empowerment is paradoxical because the real empowerment should come from within than without. Well, director-actor Mahesh Manjrekar is learnt to have come up with such a role about a woman who dares to assert her identity and sexuality in a society straitjacketed in old mindset.

In a film titled ‘White’, Mahesh wants to cast Tabu in the role of a middleclass woman who walks out on her insensitive, uncaring husband but also has an affair with a man younger than her.

“It is a bolder look at the feelings, dreams and nightmares of an Indian housewife than anything attempted on screen,” Mahesh is quoted to have said about the film.

Mahesh says when the script was being written and the leading character was getting fleshed out, he could only see Tabu playing the role.

It may be recalled that Tabu had played a similar independent woman with a mind of her own in Manjrekar’s ‘Astitva’ almost a decade ago.

Manjrekar says Tabu’s role in ‘White’ is bolder than the one she played in ‘Astitva’.
